Ekushey installs with 7 Bengali fonts, including 4 sorts of Bengali True Type Fonts that are the most widespread in Bangladesh and 2 from India. Furthermore, it can substitute missing fonts for suitable alternatives, allowing you to read documents written in 300 of the most popular fonts, whether or not you have the fonts installed on your system. It is a simple matter to download extra fonts from internet.

It is easy to keep Ekushey up to date. Just click on the 'Internet Update' button and Ekushey will contact www.altruists.org, to download and install details of the latest fonts, so the latest fonts are recognized automatically.

Advanced may wish to manage their fonts manually, by re-assigning new fonts to one of the Bangla font groups above by using the 'Add->' and '<-Remove' buttons to move fonts into the correct groups. The 'Load...' and 'Save...' buttons allow you to export your settings to a text file so you can easy set up multiple computers with your custom settings.
