Testimonies of Altruism

Altruism, like other emotions, ripples outwards through society; helping someone altruistically frequently inspires them to treat others in the same way. This multiplies the value of individual altruistic acts and can even lead to a 'chain reaction' in which local communities suddenly overcome a climate of fear and mutual mistrust.

Maybe someone gave you a marvellous gift you could never repay, loved and helped you through a critical time in your life, or perhaps a stranger took a lot of time to help you out, and you never even had a chance to say ''Thank You''?... Too often, a few depressing acts of violence catch the headlines, while a wealth of selfless, loving acts go unreported. This is a chance to share your positive news.

If altruism has enriched your life, we would love to hear from you.
We're collecting personal testimonies of altruism to publish on this site to inspire our readers.
