The network of care models the real world, emotional connections between people.
Whether directly with friends, or indirectly with friends of friends, friends of friends of friends etc.
this networked trading structure channels transactions over real world care relationships.
Naturally, this confers a much greater importance to human
relationships than the capitalist system of impersonal
'market forces', in which emotionally disconnected individuals communicate
only through the price mechanism.
The network of care can be shown pictorially as a directed graph in which the
arrows represent care relationships. The direction of the arrow shows the direction
of the care, as shown (right):
The strength of these relationships may vary, and is reflected by choice of s,
sympathy value. This comprises the other essential aspect of the
altruistic economic model.
